First Response Team

The First Response Team accept community-based referrals from residents and professionals over the telephone, via email, and online including through the council’s online portal.

The First Response team take a strengths-based approach to the conversations they have with residents. They explore opportunities to utilise technology enabled care and explore community-based solutions to presenting needs for care and support in order to maximise opportunities to prevent, reduce and delay the need for formal care and support services.

The team have access to good quality information and advice and ensure that they are signposting to other support and services where it is determined that presenting need can be met in this way.
